Pictured above is my copy of Phil Steele’s 2008 College Football preview magazine, a portion of Lindy’s to the left, and an ice cold Harp Lager.  Just out of the picture is Big Creek near Blue Ridge, Georgia.  I left these magazines (and Athlon’s) out on the deck of my in-law’s cabin unsupervised, and my brother-in-law’s puppy ripped off the cover of Phil Steele, along with the first few pages, and ate them.  You can also see teeth marks at bottom left.  Some sort of metaphor for Phil ranking Georgia outside the Top 5?  Let’s hope so.  Lindy’s (Georgia #1) and Athlon’s (Georgia #5) were left untouched.

I’d like to think all stir-crazy fans will, by July, simply check out for several days, get out of town, and do nothing but read college football preview magazines for 5 solid days.  Interesting race shaping up in the MAC this year, don’t you know?
