To further the point made by Groo in advising you to not be “That Georgia Fan,” an Auburn friend writes:

Ok, let me be perfectly clear. I don’t mind a UGA fan that tells me how good UGA is — that, I think is great.  I hate these two UGA fans:

1. The “Do You Think We’ll Be Good?” Fan: he asks me if I think UGA will be good this year, and of course, I tell him I think UGA will be terrific. But, dare I suggest even the slightest chink in the armor (schedule, periods of Richtard, etc.), he then spends 2 hours telling me how wrong I am.

2. The “UGA is a Victim” Fan. The SEC hates us, ESPN hates, us, etc. I think I’m most sensitive to this because of the 04 Auburn fans who whined all the time.

I hate the victim fans of any school.

Here is another category of fans I hate, and this goes for fans of any team: the “I will parrot the exact same thing, word for word, that I heard on ESPN or read in the paper yesterday, and hold it out as my own brilliant opinion” Fan.   This is why I do not listen to sports talk radio.
